The VIQUA Arros dry-contact provides a reliable way to integrate your UV system with external devices for enhanced monitoring. This feature utilizes an external port on the controller to deliver an open/closed relay signal, indicating whether a critical alarm is present on the UV system. By enabling seamless communication with other components, it ensures appropriate responses to critical alarms. Key applications include:
Automatic Water Shutoff – Connect to a junction box and solenoid valve to stop water flow during a power outage or critical UV system alarm, preventing unsafe water from entering the supply.
Enhanced Visibility for Critical Alarms – Trigger an external indicator light or buzzer in a more visible location than the UV system, ensuring critical alarms are noticed promptly.
Remote Monitoring Integration – Link to external monitoring systems for real-time alarm updates and improved oversight of water treatment operations.

UV Education
Over the last 25 years the use of Ultra Violet Disinfection Systems (UV) has become common place for keeping bacteria out of rural water supplies. If you own a home in the country, it is very likely that a UV System (also known as Blue Light or Sterilizer) is installed either at the kitchen sink or where the water enters the house. Inactivation of harmful bacteria, viruses and dangerous parasitic protozoa such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia occurs at the point of contact between UV Rays and water inside of a stainless steel chamber. An Ultra Violet Lamp is the source of the UV Ray and radiates 360 degrees through a Quartz Sleeve which protects the lamp from coming in contact with water. The benefit of this type of disinfection process is the instant neutralization of microorganisms preventing them from causing any harm. The process adds no by-products to the water.Payment methods
