Viqua 3-Piece Housings Water Filters are designed for residential and light commercial applications. They are capable of flow rates of up to 40 GPM. To achieve higher flow rate applications, multiple housings can be used in a parallel flow configuration.The filter housing is unlike conventional housings, the 3-Piece design allows the sump to be seated into the filter cap and the separate collar can be threaded up to seal the housing. This method removes the O-ring from being spun onto the filter cap like traditional housings, it reduces wear on the O-ring, reducing stretching and greatly lowers the risk of leaking. The larger size of the collar also helps with ease of removal to make filter changes easier. The Valve In Head Feature offers two options, a bypass feature to allow for water to pass through unfiltered and a shut-off feature in order to stop the flow of water altogether. There is also a pressure release valve and a threaded port which may be used to install a pressure gauge. Comes complete with a mounting bracket kit and wrench.
